Ropheka Ministries International hosted it’s 2023 Online training Film Location at Redemption Camp, Ogun State. The film
location started on the 28th of June and ended on the
2nd Of July, 2023. The ministry had previously hosted a 4 weeks online training on movie and stage production in February and
May, 2023.
The power packed movie titled SUMBO is written the president of the ministry, Pastor Adesoji Adedoja. Veteran gospel actors and actresses as well such as Evangelist Kayode Owojori, Evangelist Jide Ogunmilade, Mrs Deola Salako, Adebola Timmy, Pastor Abiola Akinboye, Assistant National Drama Coordinator of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Funmilayo Babalola, Egbe Success, Olorunfemi Omolola, Marisi Stephen ,Iyanuoluwa RotimiDavid, and some great actors in United States of America. Also, the movie was Directed and filmed by seasoned crew members and film makers. Directed in United States by Adesoji Adedoja and in Nigeria by Olabest Sunkanmi. Filmed by Award Winning filmmaker Dotun Ololade, Victoria K. Emla amidst others is a must watch for all. The RMI coordinator in Nigeria, Babalola Olufunmilayo who was the production manager on set said; “One thing the movie will open our eyes to is the power of social media which many people over look. What it can do to people, how it can affect families.” She continued, “Look out for Sumbo because you are going to learn new things, things unusual
and uncommon. Bringing to all the power of social media.”
Speaking about the movie and Ropheka Ministries International, she said; “This is a big project for Ropheka Ministries. We trust God
that this is going to part ways for Ropheka Ministries.”
Director of the movie Ola Best Sunkanmi said that Sumbo is not just a movie but a message. The
story is very powerful and full of suspense. “We will have nothing less than the best.” he said.
The Director Of Photography, Dotun Ololade also anticipated that the movie will come out
beautifully well. ”Look out for an unusual cinematic style of filming. Cinematography that align. ”Shots that tell the story
and does not disconnect the
audience.” he said.
Veteran gospel actor, Evangelist Kayode Owojori who acted a major role in the movie said; “The movie talks about how a wrong choice can determine the
future of the entire family. When you have a choice to make, it’s either you align with the will of God for your life and your entire family. Especially as the head of
the home, the man.”
He continued;” Your choices
determine the future of your family as the head of the home. When you align with God, God will lead you to eternal solutions that may be far in the interim but at the end of the day, it will lead you to a predetermined goal of success in life. But when you move to the other side, it may move hurriedly fast but the end of every gift the devil gives is destruction.”
In his admonition to the public, he said; ”For everybody out there who is a part of a family or who is starting a family or who is already leading a family in the wrong way, it is necessary to watch Sumbo.”
Also, Veteran Actor, Evangelist Jide Ogunmilade who acted as a man who wanted to do the right thing but was financially handicapped revealed that temptation can come and take a man on the wrong path.
Dangers of keeping secrets from your family, depending on social media and the things that it can cause we’re exemplified in the movie and he advocated that Sumbo is a movie every family should sit and learn from.
Faith based film maker, writer and author, Adebola Timmy who also acted in the movie said; ”Sumbo is a wonderful movie. It filled with
lessons, entertainment and morals and it’s worth the hype.”
Speaking about the quality of equipment used in shooting the movie, he gave Credence to the ministry. ”With the quality of equipment I have seen here, the quality of the crew and cast. You should watch out for Sumbo.
“Gospel movie is really taking a new height and Sumbo is one of those
movies that is blending with this
new move in the gospel fold. Watch out for quality, stories birthed from the secret place. Watch out for
technicality, great delivery, beautiful screenplay as well. It’s worth it.”
While speaking about the equipment used, the Camera Operator, Victoria K. Emla, said that the camera used which was Sony PMW- F5 was used for Cinemas and working with the D.O.P, the best should be anticipated. ”Beautifully made, beautifully crafted and beautiful story.” She said.

from the online class who
participated in the movie,
Olorunfemi Omolola who acted the role of a 15 year old said that irrespective of age, children can do greater things than their ages, stand in gap for their families and friends
and she commended the creativity in the movie. Iyanuoluwa Rotimi-David, another participant said in reference to the movie, “Jesus gives life and restoration. Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and savior so that your lives can be restored and enjoy the gift of salvation as Jesus will be your backbone.” The movie which is based on molestation is multi-faceted and addresses every member of the family and also the society as large. Ropheka Ministries International is headed by Pastor Adesoji Adedoja who resides in New York. The ministry has other arms in other countries such as Sierra Leone, New York, Minnesota, Texas and Arizona.
