Bolanle, with a bowl of ground pepper in her left hand and engrossed in her phone, smiles sheepishly at the screen as she walks down the stairs. Her mom’s voice can be heard from her room: “Bola, watch your step; you’re carrying Mama Emeka’s pepper. It must not spill, she has 5 kids to feed” Ignoring the warning, Bolanle continues to smile at her phone, shuffling down the stairs. She laughs out loud at something on her screen and, as she lifts her foot to the next step, misses it and falls. The phone crashes, the pepper spills everywhere, and she injures her foot. “What have I done?” she wails, staring at the mess she has caused.

Focus is the greatest tool men often lack on their journey to destiny. Countless distractions surround us, and we easily get sidetracked. While listening and distracted by the junk of the world, we lose sight of our purpose.
No one reaches the highest peak while tuned in to the noise of the world. There’s a call to focus, a call to mindful living, for the enemy seeks every opportunity to bring us down.
We must consciously watch our steps, for the gifts we carry are diamonds – precious, priceless, and irreplaceable. We can’t afford to lose them. Every step we take requires vigilance, for creation eagerly awaits the manifestation of our gift
